SO WHO ARE WE?
Superswim Academy was founded in 2015 by Leande Carstens after working as a full time swimming instructor for 4 years prior. We are situated in the heart of Durbanville and have a wonderful, fully enclosed, indoor facility with water that is heated between 32 and 34 degrees (salt water). Needless to say – our swimming program continues all year round. We pride ourselves in the fact that we have a child orientated approach and we aim to instil a love for water, instead of a fear, in every child that passes through our pool.
We provide a safe, friendly and inviting environment where children can learn while having fun and feeling supported and motivated.Knowing full well that all children learn and progress differently our swim school offers one on one lessons as well as paired lessons where your little one can swim with a partner.
Our team consists of five instructors. All of our instructors are INTERNATIONALLY qualified through the STA, and hold the relevant safety training as well. We specialize in baby swimming from the age of 3 weeks, water safety, learn to swim, beginner strokes as well as stroke correction.
We offer indoor swimming lessons to children of all ages. Our pool is heated, so our swimming lessons continue throughout the year.
Our swim school is based in the heart of Durbanville at number 2 Slangkop way.
We have a wonderful, fully enclosed, indoor facility with water that is heated up to 32 degrees (salt water). Our instructors are all fully qualified, have a valid First Aid level 1 and have an absolute passion for working with children.
We pride ourselves in the fact that we have a child orientated approach. We aim to instill a love for water instead of a fear. We specialize in baby swimming from the age of 6 months, water safety, learn to swim, beginner strokes as well as stroke correction. Once our swimmers are proficient in all 4 strokes we will then notify you that they are ready to swim in a squad – should they wish to further the sport.
We are also one of the few swim schools that offer one on one coaching sessions. Please remember that swimming is not the same as an extra mural. It is a life skill that could potentially save your child’s life. But it is
also a very scary venture for your little one. So please be patient with
them as they start this new journey.
